I have a 55 gallon tank, inhabitants are listed in the signature, Ok so here is the problem my Male and Female GT's have successfully had 3 batches of fry and now they have not even had eggs for the past 3 months and the male does not stop harassing the female. She has a cave that she can hide in that he cannot get into but she is the only fish he chases, he leaves the others alone and does not even look at them, Should I separate them or let them work it out on their own???

I would separate them, there is not enough space for it to escape the male's wrath. a divider would be good

Sounds like the male wants to mate and she doesn't. you should seperate em.

seperate them for a little while till the female GT and fatten her up then re introduce the female if you wan't to breed them

could be the size of the tank

I was thinking the same thing. I think the tank is currently overcrowded. Its amazing when fish are actually given enough territory how their aggression goes down.

Ok thanks I will get a divider and fatten her up a bit then move them back together.
