Hi,
I'm new to the forums and wanted to see the results of a poll of those of you who own a Jardini as I do.

One thing I want to see is, if there is a link between an aggressive jardini and the type of food they eat.

For example, live fish everyday = agressive killing machine.
pellet 24/7 = peaceful tankmate.

Ummm... not sure if I don't have the ability to make a poll or not, but I ticked the Poll with 4 options but I don't have anything for me to input the variables?

Oh my bad, I see how it works now, you have to press submit and then it comes up in the next page. What a noob I am :screwy:

Anyways, I made it multiple choice so if you have two jar's and experience different things, then by all means select the two that suit.

If you own more than one jar and they all follow the same trait, just vote once.

When I say 24/7, eg. I mean they are fed pellets everyday.
Or at least, dominantly pellets.

If fed on feeders for most meals or even just under half the time, I think that classifies as feeders cause the Jardini would be used to chasing and biting other fish.

the food you feed is not why the jar is aggressive, its just their nature to be aggressive

but some jars are quite peaceful
but it also depends on the size of the other fish and the way the jars tank is stocked
i keep a jar comm
any fish which is 7"+ will be considered a threat on it dominance and any other smaller fish will be ignored but if the others are too small may be thye might be considered as food

although my jar doesn't accept feeders, it doesn't accept pellets too, its main staple is dried shrimp and any other meaty foods

my jar eats mainly hikari food stick, market shrimp, FD Krill, meal worm, and feeders. here some pics.

Well, it will depend on your luck about Jar's temperament.
IMO live fish or pellets doesn't make any difference to Jardini's aggression, its just in his genes to be violent.

Yeah food matters not.Mine eats frozen rainbow trout cubes and he's still a big a-hole.He even tries to go after my RTC shovelnose, and the RTC is almost twice his size.

My stepdad got lucky, his Jar is overly friendly to it's other tank mates.
