any body know why a 18 inches silver arrowana is very agressive. I have one in a 135g tank by it self. It killed sevral fish that I was trying to put with it. last december 10 inches clown knife lasted only for 12 hrs, january large hand size red devil same died in 12hrs, 2 days ago 1 foot red tail catfish died in 12 hrs. It kills its tank mate at night while I am work. big bite marks on all of them. I feed my aro 3 3inches goldfish a day.

DAYUM!!!!!! It could be, because your feeding him Live food. you might wanna try an get him eating Shrimp, Tilapia fillet, or stick foods.

My Bigger Silver Aro Eats only Tilapia fillet, an shows no aggression to my other fish.

wow wat do u think will happen if u leave ur hand in the tank and turn off the lights
I really have never heard of an arowana being that aggressive

WOW :WHOA:
That's one mean arowana...
Try keeping a huge flowerhorn male with it(it may work).....

dont know if the tank it self have to do with it? the tank have no decorations just bare bottom just filters.

hrmm i have a 18 inch silver aro and a 18 inch clownknife and they are doin fine together. it seems like the clownknife is actually more aggresive then the aro. it sorta depends on the fish. my jar was supposedly to be killing all my fishes in my tank but it was fine and it never harmed any of my fishes

jesus - never heard of a sliver that vicious. Killed a big red devil? That's surprising.

Btw tong - hw big was your jar?

Every fish has a different aggression level, my 26" Silver aro and 16" jardini are both screwballs and will kill anything that moves in their tanks. Can't keep a damn thing with em
