Ok so I have two 3" ARTCs with one 5" SARTC. Anyways I know the ARTC will become very vicious when they grow up, but right now all 3 of them are getting along together just fine. I check on all the fish multiple times per day, and they havent bitten each other yet, just lying on top of each other.

Anyways at what size will the ARTC be needed to be singled out? Plus I would want to move the fish as few times as possible, because the ARTCs always have a problem eating after being moved to a new tank (it took them around a week to start eating again while the SA RTC was just fine.

At 6.5" mine tried to destroy each other. The smaller one nearly killed the other over night. I would recommend just keeping one. They grow BIG and FAST. Mine is over two feet long and about 2.5 years old. Don't worry about them not eating after a move, they'll survive it. no problem.

Thanks man, I should really get them moved soon.

I have plans in the future to build a pond that connects to the side of my house, that is 10 meters long, 2 meters wide and 1 meter deep. I hope this is big enough to solve the teritorial dispute between some of the catfish. It's also going to have some glass panels at the side too, because its an above-ground pond. more like a pool perhaps.

but if its best to keep the asian RTC by itself, I'll have my plans changed or something.

I actually brought 3 initially, but I kept the other one in a seperate lotus pond. Reason I put it in there was because my mom was getting tired of snails eating the lotus leaves, so she asked me to do something about it. Well that thing is overstocked with guppys anyways so with one ARTC in there, it should be pretty self-sufficient by itself....for the moment.

Ok all four of my cats are singularly quarantined right now. One asian RTC was being bullied by another asian RTC and the SA RTC. He had the top part of his tail and one whisker bitten off, so I had to hurry and quarentine them.

Lesson learned
