Since I've filled up my tank and upgraded my filtration, I've been concentrating more on the plants in my aquarium. I certainly don't have much experience or a fancy budget, but I have been doing my research.
This is a low light tank that has low light plants doing well. My tank is very soft with a pH stable at 6.5 from the peat moss, has low nitrates, but relatively high phosphate (0.42 ppm) from the tap water. I just started a simple CO2 reactor and was looking for a simple way to enrich my pure sand substrate for lusher growth since CO2 is no longer limiting.
Problem is that I didn't start out with a good substrate. I don't want to tear the tank down. I was looking for mostly potassium and iron, but I wanted some trace elements as well. I also wanted this in the ground.
Anyway, I found http://www.gardenlink.com/AquariumPlantFood.htm these. Seems to be everything I want. And they will send you a free sample. Is this exactly what I need?
The only problems I can think of are that is has cytokinin (a plant growth hormone). anyways, there is a nice technical summary of it here: http://www.gardenlink.com/agsafeaquariumplanttabletstechnical.pdf
What do you guys think?
