This is the new girl, Lizzie, born in March. I think she's a coastal, judging by her intense lack of any yellow or cream bands, but we really can't be sure until she gets a little older. But that's okay, because she's going to be a beauty either way:)

And this is Snakey, the 06 coastal I got in November. Still of unknown gender, hoping for a boy so I can breed "him" with Lizzie one day, but if Snakey's a girl, well, I'll just have to go get another carpet python;)

Wow! Beautiful as always!!:)

How big are they? Your 06 looks like a tank compared to my 06. Looking great!

nice snakes man..

hey thanks folks :)
Last I measured, Snakey was about 36". That was over a month ago, and I think he/she is between 38 and 40 now.

Z, how big is yours now? Some of the advice I gleaned from some of the better-known carpet breeders was that it's absolutely fine to feed them something twice their girth, maybe a little more, and it's fine to feed them more than once every week, because a young carpet is only going to get long rather than fat.

I got my 06 in september, no idea when she hatched. I'm guessing about 30 inches long. When she shed, the left over skin mesured 36 streched. I feed mine 2 food items once a week no thicker then its body.

My little one is just over a foot in lenght. He must be an 07. I want to contact the guy but his contact web page isnt working for me. You people probably would know him but I got both my carpets from Mardy Mcmannus(I think that his last name) He is a carpet expert and breeds all the top line in Canada. Even has Candy Cane carpets!

I love snakes, even if the pet store doesn't have the size of mouse/rat I want, the snake will still eat it!
