Ok so i have a female green terror obviously because i have nice little cleared out spot full of eggs on the bottom of my tank however im not 100% sure if i have a male. I assume now that i got rid of my pleco the female decided it would be a good time to drop the eggs. The female is much MUCH larger probably about inches and the other un sexed green terror is about 3. Is it possible for the other fish at that size if its a male to fertilize the eggs. And is it possible at this point to sex the smaller one? It doesnt have very distinct anal and dorsal fins and i dont have a clue other then that how to sex them.

ANY advice at all would be much appreciated. These eggs were a huge surprise this morning when i woke up and found them would be awesome to have a new addition to my tanks. Also the female is EXTREMELY pretty with good coloring at this point so it would be nice to see the fry she spits out.

Do you have any pictures?

as soon as i get some batteries i can upload off my cam

They could just be un fertilize eggs. If they turn white, they are no good but watch out, she will fight any fish that comes by them.

yea finnage is how i normaly tell also the tube on the bottom the females large and round and the male comes more to a point like a pen but a pic would help for a guess

pics are good but sometimes you have to vent them...everyone thought my little female was a male until I vented her.

Thanks for the help guys. Im not sure what venting is as ive never really been concerned with the sex of my fish.

However i took the smaller of the 2 in turns out its not a male so i am letting go of the smaller one to a buddy and buying a sexed male in hopes i can get some GT fry in the next couple weeks and expand my tank.

I will still be posting pics of the larger one this afternoon i got batteries today.

If anyone happens to read this after today and you have a gt male for sale i would like to pick him up to hopefully mate up with my female.

Im assuming with fish its the same as anything else not all fish will just breed together.
