In The Little Town Of Bedrock!
Ive got algea in my soon to be african tank:nilly: Is there any african fish/inverts i can by that will eat/kill the algea? I thought maybe theres a type of snail that will eat it and destroy future generations:FIREdevil also while im at it theres some black stuff on two of my fake plants but my other two fake plants have no plant on them at all, should i be worried? I think it may have something to do with the carbon i had in my filter media, its still in there as i just relized that carbon only lasts about 2 weeks and then its dead so im about to take it out but ive had tanks before where i kept the carbon in for months without changing it and i never got plant stuff on my plants

also its green algea, i think it might be because my tank is right infront of a window.

Thanks,
AQ

just try to find a tactful way to sheild the tank from the window if it's a show tank. if not just cover the sides exposed to the window with cardboard or the like. otherwise you could get some hardy plants that would deprive the algae of nutrients and such. gl
