just got back from 7 week vacay.Went to test the 120 g,water parameters(BTW..28-29 celsius....ph..5.2-5.8....ammomia...0.00....nitrite...0.00....nitrate....20 ppm:)),so slid the lid and 30-40 lb sheet of wood on top of the lid,5" to the left.....the aimara was at the other end of its aquarium....I dipped the test tube,2" into water.....and next thing,I know, out of nowhere...like lightning quick...the aimara launched and bit my right hand ring finger and pinkie....for a second or two,it felt like a dog bite,.......Result: 5 small lacerations,0.2-0.7 cm,.....and a trip to the ER for 2 stitches..taking antibiotics to prevent infection....IMHO...if the aimara didnt let go,it could have severed the ring finger,Distal from just the intermediate phalanges.

Bought the aimara at@16" to 17",.....I've done those water tests at least 3 dozen times before, and was never attacked or bitten, not even close.......but according to its babysitter of 7 weeks...the aimara just flipped its lid/like a ticking time bomb went off, when the aimara reached @19" to 20"......pardon my typing....and excuse the crappy 1.3 MP cameraphone PICS that i snapped right after ....im using my left hand for several days:(.I blame myself for not reading my fish better and bcoz of my jet-lag.
