I know there isn't a lot know about the species but does anyone know if aimara like heavy currents? Im wondering if given a decent current will my aimara like swimming more. One source says they live river like currents but im trying to create the perfect natural conditions for mine.

They live in areas of high current. I doubt they like it cause some are found in no flow areas too. They tolerate it if food is easy to get I assume. Current will make the Aimara swim for sure. If there's wood/decor then the wolf may hide out in dead spots for a bit. They are ambush predators so they wait for food to come nearby and hit it. It's not actively swimming and seeking out. Try and see.

Although they can be found in slow moving waters, this may be due to their immigration patterns, and seasonal changes.
Much of the time they seem to prefer to be in counter current zone, of highly oxygenated waters beneath water falls, where currents can be extreme.
