Aiptasia?

Does this look like aiptasia to you guys? Its on my bubble coral but its never moved,gotten bigger or really done anything. What is it?

Scott, you said to burn them. Wouldn't that hurt the coral? What's the best way to get rid of it if it is aiptasia?

it looks like algae that it is poking through not coral. could be wrong though. if you target burn it then do a light scrub on the exact spot of the aiptasia it should be fine. just run a cup of aquarium water over it over a seperat container before it goes back into the tank. put the rock back into the tank right away. the rock only needs to be out for a few seconds.
 
Yes, it's a species of Aiptasia although I'm not sure which one. Some of the larger species are safer than the tiny ones that take over your aquarium, so it may be fine as long as it doesn't spread or sting anything.

Its been in the tank for about two weeks now. It hasnt moved or done anything. I thought it was aiptasia when i first got it but i wanted to keep an eye on it to make sure, and then when it didnt move i wasnt sure anymore. Its a little bit smaller than a dime.

This looks more like a Majano Anem to me. I would go ahead and use a Kalk plug to eliminate it.
