I’m having a hard time finding any information on this for stingrays. I do believe I seen it once mentioned on here but can’t seem to find it.
So I have a couple questions pertaining to this issue. One what causes this?Could it be her going over the air stones? Or simple thing like her splashing sometimes at the top of the tank? Is it from the food she eats? (Shrimp, scallops, bloodworms, black worms, earthworms, frozen krill) The other stingray is doing fine, she is eating and swimming around as normal except for the part her back end does lift up on her at times.
Is this something that will just run it’s course or is it something I need to intervene with? Thanks

That’s really good to hear. All 4 of mine love to lay and play on their air stone. I’ve seen both my BD and my pearl lay on them until air comes out of their top “vent holes” kinda funny to see. It’s never been a issue.

Have you added any thing new, what’s the tank dimensions, tank mates?

I may be wrong. It may have nothing to do with the air stone but when you don’t know like me then you try to think of solutions to what it “could” be. But I’m just great full it’s gone.
The aquarium is small right now. Just a 75 gallon. She is about 8” and the other stingray is about 4”. Getting a 210 next month. Lol not easy talking the mrs. Into that. I will keep my fish in the 210 for about 1-2 years until we sell this house and move into our new one. I plan to build a huge aquarium in the basement of the new house and they will live out their lives there.
