as far as I know about such things, I have always felt that there was a little bit of oil in the air that comes forth from an air compressor.
And Im not sure any filters are able to clean it all that much.
I think thats why they dont allow you to recharge suba tanks from normal shop air compressors.

Well I am not to knowledgable about scuba equipment but arent they a whole lot higher pressure than what a regular copressor can do, like >1,000psi?
