I am thinking of adding my 2 meter AQ, to my already existing airline.
For that, I was thinking of building a 2 inch / 5cm diameter Airlift filter. Is the diameter too large? Currently I am using 2cm diameter without any problems. I would like to have the filter over the AQ, instead of in the AQ ( see picture).
1) Would you use a pipe filled with filter media? What media?
2) Would you rather use a tray? What about aesthetics?
Currently I have 2 large Oscars.
I am considering getting a larger AQ for an Arowana and rays, but would like continuing using air powered filters.
