When I was just getting a little crazy about fish, I used to set up an air pump on EVERY tank. I figured it to be a basic requirement. Now with massive overfiltration on every tank, I have a drawer full of airpumps, tubing and stones. My massive turnover aerates the water for me, and the pumps are for emergencies. I was just sorting my misc. aquarium junk and noticed that I was doing it wrong. LOL
