So I have stocked my 10 gallon now with some black sand, live plants, 6 neons and 3 golden wonders and two very young green spotted puffers. I currently have the filter running and everything but I was wondering about all this other stuff like Powerheads and Air pumps...do I need any of these? Will it be benifiecery? My Golden Wonders stay at the top of the tank for about 90% of the day, would they like/dislike the current from the powerhead? Thanks in advance...

Powerhead in a 10? Never seen it myself. But they make em. I would get an ac 50 and some air and be done wit it.

yeah... i don't know why you would need one in a 10g freshwater setup, saltwater fish like the wave simulations, but freshwater? I am sure in a 10g your filter is enough =) and i would get an airstone and a airpump, pretty cheap, also adds a nice touch to your aquarium.

Best of luck!

Not trying to tell you what to do but green spotted puffers are brackish fish which eventually need full marine conditions to live a healthy life(15+ years) and they also need a min. of 30 gals. Two of them will eventually need a 55 gal at least. Unless of course your talking about dwarf puffers then forget what I said your fine with what you have.

thanks for the advice guys...i will probably look into getting a air pump but no powerheaded needed. The puffers will be in a brackinsh 40 gallon in a couple of months, for now the freshwater is fine as they are still very young...
