ive wondering, has anyone used air to ship live fish, how did it go? how much did it cost how did the expierince go?, i am shipping through southwest cargo but now they want to verify you as a known shipper and they have to inspect your place of business/residence im not to sure why they do this, no to mntion they say it could up to 2 weeks to get it finalized so any other help and information on this would be greatly appreciated as i need to get these fish to CA ASAP!!

thanks in advance

A vendor told me you have to have an account with Southwest in order to use their cargo service.

Just use Delta or Continental. It's a lil more expensive, but not that much.

You have to have an account aka known shipper to ship with ANY airlines.

This only applies for fish or anything liquid obviously, not dogs/cats or other animals.

I'm not sure if they change, but since 9/11, you must be a KNOWN shipper to ship with ANY airline

Wrong...I've shipped a number of times in the past 2 years with AA Cargo as an unknown shipper, without an account.

It just takes some additional paperwork for the airlines to complete.

BTW, their prices are lower too.

Yeah, Delta I'm told will also ship from whoever.
