Does any one keep Alantic stingray? have you ever acclimated them to fresh water, and how do they do once in the fresh? I have the chance to get one for a good price, but was just wondering what everyone thinks of them and know how big they get. The one I can get is about 6-8 inches.

not worth it IMO. Its much safer to get a fw stingray and plus they look better. Ive heard of atlantics feeding well for months and suddenly die for no reason

Why buy something and put it in another type of water that it is not used to when there are already FW rays......If you want those rays only...get a SW tank!

The atlantic rays in the St Johns river are fully adapted to freshwater. They're born in FW and spend their entire lives away from the sea. Read the article to see the adaptations that have evolved in this species.

My friends got one from the st johns and has had it for many years. It seems to do find and is always moving, it has a very long tail too which I like
