You can get some portion of plants white by not exposing them in the sun(hence white asparagus) but do that too long the plants die. Unlike albino animals, the green is needed for the plants to live.

yep chloroplasts are green in pigment and they are how the plant obtains energy from the sun. without the green the plant would literally be dead. A plant with no green is like a human with no blood
