Albino bn pleco reddened curved side fins??

My girlfriend has this little pleco in a 20 gallon tall with guppies and one betta that's about to get moved for nipping at its long fins. The pleco has red spines that are curving upwards. Is that an injury or is that normal? I have a bn that had the same thing awhile ago in my 36 gallon but nobody in that tank even messes with it. Could that be injuries from serving itself in tight spots or something???

when i got my albino it was like that and its still alive
