Anyone got some pointers on breeding the ABN? Maybe some pics of setups. Going to breed some ABN aslo got a pair of calico bristle. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Hey dude I have not breed this fish but i saw this guy on youtube that was using 2 40 liter rubbermaid tubs for breeding which where plumbed tgether to make a drip system. It was pretty cool!:headbang2

i have had very good success breeding these in a bare tank with 85 degree water. they seem to like the really small ceramic breeding tubes that look too small. when they barely fit inside and have to work to get out they do the best. good luck.

I’m curious too how big do they have to be I want to try ABN and regular BN I have some in a 55gal with some stale caves and some pvc pipe but I think they may be too small I have 4 regular about 2-2.5" with one about 3" and two albinos about one at 2" and one at 2.5-3""

I have 7 or 8 albinos in my 55 right now and think they are starting to pair up. my big male and a very plump female have been seen togther. I think i am going to move the father with the tube if they spawn to a 10 until the babies are free swimming. I think i am going to have to find some more tanks. As i am getting a doz abn to grow out, and 1/2 doz calico to grow out. also a calico pair i think i am setting up in a 10 for now. the other ones will go in seperate 20L tanks. I have been asking around and a pair can get by in a 10 but might be better in a 20. Need a few different plants. Which i may not agree with as the ones in my 55 have no plant with bare bottom. But none the less still gotta do what works for you. Is 85 too high i was thinking about 80-82
