I asked a LFS if they ever got any polys in and was told they could get albino congicus. I've never seen one and don't know if one exists.
What say you? Do they exist or does the supplier have their id wrong?

An albino congicus would be very rare and extremely pricey! What he's probably talking about is an albino senegalus. Which isn't as unusual or expensive!:) IMO Johnathan

Extremely unlikely, I can almost 100% guarantee it's just a sen. Especially here in the states.

I doubt it. Like most people said it's most likely a albino sen of del. Maybe a plat endli? Pics would help though

an lfs near me has a platinum endli for 3k, but the owner said he only has it priced that because he wants to keep it for himself :)

i bet it's albino senegalus. not unusual for LFS and their suppliers to mislabel senegals under various different names.

I've been speaking with the store owner on a another forum. They don't have any in stock, just said that they could get them. Which is why I'm here, I figured if anyone had one, they'd be on this forum.

I've asked for a price, so hopefully sometime tomorrow I'll know. It should be a good indicator of what it is. BTW, has anyone ever seen an albino Congicus anywhere? I never have, if someone has a pic of one, that would be great.

My best guess as to what it is, is probably a Delhezi. I don't know how someone could possibly confuse a senegal for another species.

Hopefully I'll know soon.
Anyhow, time to bone up on being able to identify a congicus versus an Endli.

lol sens are always mislabled, its just a sales hype so you buy the fish... Price really isnt a good indacator, the owner can say 1k and you end up with an alibino sen. As said before pictures are the only way to give an accurate ID, but i highly doubt it is a an albino congi since i have never, seen one in the hobby...

and identifying a congi from an endli is pretty easy... just check out the pics :D
first one is an endli, and the second is a congi.
