I have about 30ish baby catfish in a 5g!!!:headbang2
They just got their eyes in a couple nights ago,
but I don't think they can see very well yet.

They haven't begun schooling, but they are all extremely active and constantly cleaning like little plecos.

I have them in a quite good water current, with whatever filtration the eclipse system is capable of.

They are actually a lot easier to keep than I thought.
I went to portland for the weekend they hatched though,
and so the water changes weren't kept up with.

About 100+ eggs molded in that tank,
and I was super bummed out.
Scraped them off with an undergravel filter head.
But the next day I was staring at the empty tank, and I saw a wriggler!
So I changed some water and cleaned the eggs,

And now theres about 30 catfish!
They seem to eat bacteria and things growing on the gravel/food I tryed to feed them.

At first I just threw a pinch of ground flakes in there every day,
I just assumed if they don't eat it the BB and snails will.

And now I just throw algae wafers in there whenever they finish them.

I will get some pictures/videos up ASAP but I don't have my own camera good enough to capture these tiny devils.
But for those with an adequate imagination;
Little albino sperm cells with whiskers.:grinno:

Sweet, which type of cory? I think that aeneus and paleatus can be found in albino.

Congratulations :)

I've always assumed Cory. P, but I'll go search the difference or something..

Definately Corydoras Aeneus

Found this picture on google,
Same size, same species. Both albino.
Except I have 30 !!
Thanks!

I just remembered that all the molded eggs didn't have airstones, only the batch under the airstone hatched.

Next time I'll have hundreds.

Congrats, do you know how old your cory's where when they bred? if not maybe just the size of them. i have a couple and i dont know much but i am very intrested!!!!

HA! thats awesome!

I think the female was the oldest, somewhere around a few years.
Maybe less though.
But they haven't grown in at least a year.

And the catfish are all happy and healthy. I don't think I've lost a single one yet.
And one of them is twice as big as every other one, definately a keeper.
Can't wait until they can brave the dangers of the community tank!
& They've all begun INTENSE schooling, as of last night or yesterday.

my albino corys started spawning last week...havnt hatched yet i figure about wendsday...
Less than that.
It took about 5 days for mine.
MAKE SURE EACH EGG CLUTCH HAS EXTREME AIRFLOW/AIRSTONE UNDER IT.

Or else they won't hatch.
The fry are easy to raise, don't worry about feeding them for at least a week.
I honestly don't feed mine really.
I throw a couple pellets in there every couple days, or whenever I remember.

They will feast on little organisms on the gravel. Basically just forget about them.

You can sink algae wafers/food or even float it.
Whatever the catfish can't eat will feed the bacteria, and the catfish will be eating them off the food.
It's been at least a month and they aren't ready for the community tank, they grow at different rates based on the individual.
I have some that are 1/3 the size of my largest.
