i was just wondering what there fry would look like. my jellybean convict and albino convict bred, will some come out short body like the father? and also what percent will be albino?

100% will be heterozygous for albino. Albanism is a rescessive trait, so they will all look normal (AA [dominant normal]+aa [rescessive albino] always is Aa)
Not one of them is albino. They are leucistic. All the fry will will turn out white like their parents but I'm not sure about the jellybean trait. You might get some sort, some reg, and some in between.

0% will be albino, since neither of the parents are. As mentioned above, they are leucistic. The color variation you have is reffered to as pink convicts, so you might want to question whoever told you they were albino.
Your convicts look very nice though. I'm not a big fan of pink cons but your female has some great coloration!

You meant FALSE! Jellybean are NOT part pink convict, part blood parrot since you dont see any BP traits in the jellybean. Its just a shortbodied pink convict. If you want see the real pink convict x blood parrot, then dont expect them to be little white fishes.mattholmes320;3890276; said:

For one leucisim is a recessive trait and both parents have to carry it for it to show up in the fry and also how do you get a three and half inch long fish from an eight inch long fish ? I have both fish and they aren't even close to each other, they don't even act similar, one acts like a Con and one acts like a Midas. If it looks like a duck and it acts like a duck it must be a duck.
