This is kind of a dumb question but is there any difference in temperament from a tiger Oscar and an albino Oscar? I have actually kept both and my albino was much much more aggressive than my tiger. I know that temperament can vary widely from fish so my guess is that I just had kind of a crazy Oscar but does the type of Oscar play a role?

No difference. Only differences in oscars are captive bred vs wild with wild tend to be more on the aggressive side due for their need to compete
