I have a 3 inch albino pleco (not bristlenose, a sailfin albino), and I want to grow it out so it can survive in my 125 gallon tank with arowanas. Right now it's in a little 10 gallon tank with a few tiger barbs, and it's doing fine, but I think i'm stunting its growth a lot. I don't wanna buy another tank because i just gave my friend my 40 gallon tank so he can house a few baby kois, and i was gonna ask him if i can put it in his tank but he uses cold water...

Would my 3 incher survive with three 1ft silver arowanas and 8 inch sailfin pleco? or would it get eaten or abused by the other pleco?

3" sailfin gibby + 12" arowana = a roll of the dice

Probably okay, depending on your arows temperment, but always a gamble.

The other pleco should'nt be an issue.

10g might be good for another inch or two with 25% water changes daily and large variety of foods imo.

If there are a lot of caves in the 125, it should be ok.

There's only one big cave that he can hide in, other than that no? :o at least the big pleco doesnt use it, ill give it a try before the silvers get too huge.

I've read one can expect anywhere from 1/2" to 1" per month, and after 12" their growth slows down.

1" per month would be nice.
