Is it possible for an albino to have a couple random black specks on its head? I can't remember if they were there when I got it...But I have noticed it lately, and have tried to do research on it and can't find anything similar. I know about black spot disease and such, but all those spots were too big.

My senegals have lil' black specks, but I believe its just the normal coloration for them from what I have seen of numerous pictures. The spots literally are this size " . " like the tip of a pin and black...I thought I ask, I searched the old post for black spot disease, but couldn't find anything relevant to mine. Thanks in advance! :)

what kind of substrate do you have in the tank?

Are you sure these spots are pigment and not specks of anything else resting on the fishes slime coat?

I have small gravel in the tank, I am not 100% sure, but they sometimes look like they have changed places, so I think you may be right! The more I think about it, the more it makes sense, unless they are still there 3 months from now LOL Thanks!

my common colored sens is covered in little black spots like you described. It might be the gravel , I thought my bichir had ich but it turned out to be the sand

No problem hahah

I went through the same situation with keepign albinos in a tank with black sand. They always seemed to have freckles from one of the other fish kicking up sand in their direction
