I purchased an albino Senegal 7 months ago at about 2.5 inches long. All my fish get fed everyday and every single one has put on substantial size besides the albino, he has grown an inch max. I do large water changes about every 10-12 days. Could this be from inbreeding or short body genetics and if so how do I tell? If not what else could be the issue

Ya it’s most likely bad genetics. I’ve had bad luck with albino sens. Not growing, dying for no reason etc…
I only buy wild caught sens now

Majority of the albino senegals now days are semi shortbody to a degree (bad genetics).
I've grown out 4 albino sens (turned out semi short) since 2019 from 2"-2.5". Fast forward to 2023, they are only 6.5"-7.5" (They reached that size in the 1st year). There are probably some lucky individuals out there that will reach 8"-10". Rarely will you find them bigger than that now days.

That’s what a couple of mine did, grew fast to 6” and stopped. Then both died within a week of each other at about 1year.
