albino senegal ?

i've noticed faster growth and more girth in my albino senegal. i got the at 2'' while the normal senegals were 4'' and now they're about the same size. the albino is actually thicker and has a bigger head.

has anybody noticed this same thing or is mine more of an eater than the other bichirs i have?

I've heard that Senegal's just naturally have fluctuating growth rates, like growth spurts. So it may be he is is eating more or he has just hit his "growth spurt" more quickly than your others. I've never witnessed it myself however.

Probably your albino is eating more than the regular one. Have you watched them at feeding time?

Albinos are naturally thicker it seems also get smaller in length(8"-10") typically.

most albinos come from the same breeding source. It seems these have a very slight SB in them.

most albinos you'll find have a bit of SB or are SB.
my albino SB grew faster than my other sens at first,but is now quite a bit smaller than the others.
but is nearly 3 times as fat.
