Yesterday an importer asked me whether I wanted some of these...

Price? 4000 Euros each:eek:

Size? Still with the yolksack attached:eek::eek:

I said no.

Just to give you an idea of the prices of these things.

ouch thats a bank buster!!! its always risky when you buy fish that young for so much money

are you saying he had more than one albino? have they bred albino parents?

They had 5 available, I guess

^ Whoa!

Did he provide a pic? If so, POST!!!

Thats a risky deal to say the least..... Still with egg sacs Ive seen some Very very dusty white silvers at 5-6 inches.... Looked very close to a platnium and still they turned out normal by 12"
And I Would Love to see red eyes if that were the case..... They are worth tens of thousands.
Now you have me Intrigued lol

I think they are just brighter than normal silver aro, may be he just want to get money from you. Some really bright silver aro (almost like white) in Asia still have the price like normal silver.
According to some scientist, the chance to have an albino silver Arowana is 1/100000 fish ! I dont think it is true that he has 5, unless I can see them with my eyes, picture may be fake !

aquarama 2011 in Singapore had over 10 on display / sale, they were approx 7". Asking US$6500, cheaper if you buy the lot.
