I just got done switching over my 30 gallon setup for my oscar to a 90 gallon with megaflow. My buddy did the lighting with 2 2 bulb florescents. My oscar isn't eating his pellets and I can't figure out weather it's because the lights might be too bright and he cant see the food or if it's because I changed the pellets and he doesn't like them. I've seen him eat a few and then immediately spit the whole pellet back out. Is it lighting too bright or food not up to par?

If you just got done moving him, he is just stressed out. Oscars like to POUT and they do a darn good job of it. Give him a couple days he will be back to his old self before you know it.

If he is spitting the pellets out, it's because he thinks your food sucks. Feed Omega One and/or cichlid biogold, your fish will be better for it.

Oscars can be real drama queens.

Switching tanks can send them into a sulking fit.

Plus, changing pellet brand is a no no in their view. lol

They can also be very finiky eaters. If he like his previous pellets and you switched them to a less tasty brand. He'll let you know.

They can be taught that its your way or the highway. You just offer him the pellets every day until he eats them. (make sure to remove any uneaten pellets of course)
Just dont feed him for a week and offer him the pellets. He wont starve himself.

Be sure to check your water parameters though. If your fish ever acts unusual its always best to check your parameters to make sure nothing bad is going on in the water.

(btw, Omega One are some of the best pellets out there) Even if your fish never had them before, he'll probably eat those. Just fyi

I pretty much agree with all this, good advice.
I'll add that O's do prefer relatively dim lighting and brighter lighting could contribute to hiding/sulking inddition to the new habitat.

I've never seen a fish turn down Omega One nor New Life Spectrum.
Be persistent in offering the new pellets, a healthy O can go a week or longer before he's hungry enought to give in.

Thanks everyone for your input. I think I'm gonna take this food back to the ***got who says "this is the best stuff out there, ten times better then any of that **** you get at a store" AKA he's an ******* selling old crappy bulk food fro 8 dollars and I'm an ******* for listening to him. Sorry I had to vent this guy's been pissin me off for a while.

where did you get the food from?
