Hi I bought this tiny tinfoil barb from petco but it is yellow in color.
when i bought my normal tinfoils at the same size they wrere silver.

is this a yellow version or something? i don't think it's analbino since it has black eyes.
but the thing is it has black spots on it's forehead.

is this normal for baby tinfoil barbs? or is it a disease like black spot?

must be a gold tinfoil barb not an albino with pink eyes. The golds are pretty, saw a video with regulars and a gold, pretty fish. My question is...........which are prettier the golds or albinos?

i see; yes i think they are golden tinfoil barbs.

but what's up with the black spots on the forehead?

Sorry dont know about that, maybe someone who has kept these fish will know.

Ihad the chance last weekend to by some albino tin foil barbs, but heard that they are big time nippers,is this true??If not i will try and grab some they are nice looking.

I have not heard of this, almost all sites say they are peaceful. Maybe they nipped at tiny fish they thought may be food?

All of the very small gold tinfoils I have seen have blackish markings on the head, I think that is normal

petsmart by my home has 3 versions of tinfoils, regulars, golds with black eyes and some black on the heads (all of them) and albinos with pink eyes.

Haven't seen them to be any more or less hardy than the silver ones. They are barbs, they can be fin nippers, but with their size the nips tend to be a bit bigger.
