Hey guys. I work in a pet store and had a customer come up to me today asking if an algae bloom was the same thing as a mini-cycle. I told him i wasnt sure. So is it? Also, he was telling me that he has small green particles suspended in the water and that his water was sorta green. I've never heard of this before. So I told him to come back so I can test the water. Does anyone know what he's talking about??

Is it floating algea, or floating duckweed.........Floating duckweed is fine.........Also, is the tank right next to a window??????????If next to a window, advise to close the blinds during the day.........Also, scrub the windows every week..........
