needs some help on what to do with an algae bloom that's in my sw set up right now.wanted to know what i can do or how long will it take for it to clear up.right now,my tank is cycling for one month now.is this a normal thing?please help....thanks...

It's not unusual to experience an algae bloom during a saltwater cycle. Since you are cycling, I would suggest you do nothing. Without the presence of nitrates, the bloom is brown and should disappear. However, too much light will result in a brown tank turning green so limit lighting to just a few hours per day. Not to worry, brown algae growth is common.

what about orangish colored stuff? cause im having that right now. i mean that stuff grow back over night!

I'd be willing to bet you are nearly done with the cycle. What are the water parameters? What creatures do you have in the tank right now?

nearly perfect according to my test kit, wkick i wouldn't trust worh a damn. it keeps comming out perfect. but when i take a sample tomy LFS for analysis, my nitrites were a little high.
i just have one blue damselin there for the cycle, i usedto have a four stripe but it died a few days ago so i think it may have caused a spike.
