Heya, folks!

Just changed the water in my 125, and 3 days later have water so thickly flourescent green that I literally can't see more than 1 1/2 inches into the tank. Help! What do I do?

Have a canister and back of tank filter going... would prefer something that can physically be placed there to clear it up to adding meds to the water. Just saw an utraviolet water conditioner for ponds that's supposed to do the trick... At $110+ is it worth it and can I use it in my indoor situation?

And yes, there is some filtered sunlight hitting the tank and I'll be curtaining the window to limit it. but there's NO WAY the little bit of light coming thru could have caused the bloom as quick as it did if something else werent going on. Pics? Sorry, no comprendo, no equipmento. but believe me, IT'S BAD!

Thanks for taking the time to respond.:nilly: It's got me going crazy!

Check your parameters, your nitrates are likely very high. Limit your feedings, and lighting to bring your nitrates under control. The UV can be used as a preventative, but not a solution to the problem. Using it as a solution will rise your ammonia levels pretty quickly. A micron filter will do much better, and is much cheaper.
