In my tanks algae always seems to pop up when the weather changes. Its never a huge problem just an extra wc and some cleaning but it seems related to the weather changing. I'm not sure if it has something to do with the heat coming on or what but its interesting. Especially when the water parameters don't change that noticably. Have you guys noticed anything similar.

Do you use municipal water? If so, the products they put in the tap water will vary depending on the season. Some of those products can cause algae issues in a tank. Does your tank receive direct sunlight? Seasonal changes in light exposure could also be causing algae issues.
