Hi all, thanks for looking;

As you see in the picture, I have this type of algae growing specifically on that part of the tank. I even have an UV sterilizer...so much for no algae.
Anyways, everyweek in midst of my water change, I get a toothbrush and scrub that part down...unfortunately, it doesnt came out all the way; In fact, thats how it looks like after a water change/scrubbing on Sunday.
The tank has been established for over 6 months, fully-cycled; No sunlight and I reduced the aquarium light by putting aluminum foil over the light with little holes. No help there...
Any suggestions on getting rid of this? Bear in mind, I have a fire eel and a gar; one that is scale-less and the other who does not do great with medicine.
Thanks a bunch!
