Hi just curious really how people control algae in tanks where other tankmates can cause issues. I've always used algae eating fish in other tanks like small plecs or catfish. Is the same thing possible in a dwarf channa tank?

Ok cool, I may try and find a smallish plec at some point.

Probably not just yet though, because I looked in teh tank this evening and found that the gravel in the corner was alive with little wriggling gachua!

I use an L196 which is a commonish pleco with my asiatica and just snails with my Gachua and bleheri, just use more floating plants and less light and it shud be right as rain in no time.

i noticed in the lfs some moss balls for sale, they say they soak up the same nutrients as algae, they look pretty funky too

of course they do, 'cause they are algae and no moss, its cladophora sp.
