Im am starting to get alot of algae growth on my rocks in my aquarium durning my fishless cycle. Its a planted tank and the lights Stay on for 10.5 hours.

Test readings as of 10 min. ago
Nitrite 5+
Nitrate 5-10
Ammonia 1.0

I am not dosing the tank with any PH adjusters or anything else(other than ammonia).

Im using T5 lights. I have 1 10000k daylight bulb and had a 18000k bulb in it until today. I had the 18000 so I used it until I was able to get the 6700k light in.

What can I do to stop the growth and get rid of it?

Would it help to move a few apple snails to the tank to try and clean it up?

I would guess its to do with the 10.5 hours of light your tanks getting a day... try cutting it back and see if that helps first...
