I have a basic algae eater about 3 inches long in a 29 gallon. Great for removing the brown algae. Was wondering if they remove beneficial bacteria in the gravel, plants. Rocks, and tank walls as well when removing algae. If so, could they do so enough to affect the wellness of your tank?

Never had that problem in my tanks. What species are we taking here?

No, that won't be a problem. Fish eats, fish poops, bacteria eat its poop. It's the ciiiiiiiiircle of liiiiiiiiife!

nope, your bio filter is in your filter and to a small extent your substrate and decor. not in your water. love my plecos, 16" around a 3 year old plec, they can and will get to 24"

either way you have a sail fin, or common, tank not near big enough. and a FYI algae not hurt your fish. look for a bristle nose instead. or smaller type pleco.
