Is there an Alage Eater who could coexist with a Pair of Festae? The Tank is 135 Gallons 6'X18". Festae pair currently housed with an Ornate Bichir, Fire eel, Pink Tailed Chaleus, Clown Loach, and Male Salvini.

For an Algae eater I had a Flagtail Prochilodus for 4-5 months. It did an awesome job cleaning the tank, but knowing it gets to such a large size I was worried that it's speed wouldn't help it avoid the overall aggression later down the road.

What are my options?

Any suggestions?

Though I don't particularly like them, I have a common pleco that I move from tank to tank.
If a tank gets full of algae, I put it in there, then move it to another, making sure I never add it to a tank when spawning may be eminent.
They do produce large amounts of waste, but any algae eater will do the same.
When it gets too big, I take it to one our our local aquarium society auctions, and get another half its size. Around here, they usually go for a buck or 2 at the auctions.

I do like bristlenose for smaller tanks, but they really aren't efficient at major algae cleaning.

I have a common that I caught awhile back that goes tank to tank too. Survived with Dovii, Jack Dempsey, and a Red Devil/Midevil. Only fish that gave him a problem was my Oscar. But, that's nothing new. Lol

Would 2 Bristlenose Plecos work in the 135? Or would this produce too much bioload?

Careful on plecos, they may suck the slime coat off your ornate bichir and cause infection/death.

Many bristlenose are quite small, and don't produce waste like commons, but because of their size, could be thought of as a feeder by a sizable festae.
They also have barb like structures that could catch in a festae throat.
I only keep bristlenose with grow outs, or small cichlids, not large enough to attempt to eat them.
