The Moon
I have a 10 bichir grow out. The bichir is only like 3 inches and will be going into the 48 once he gets big enough to stop being picked on by the cichlids. But in the 10 gal i have plants so the light has to be on quite a bit. Now the plecos in my 48 (i have 2) are about 4 inches, should i move one to the ten gal so rid of the algae or get a newer smaller one.

I was thinking of getting algae eaters or oto's but im thinking the bichir will kill/eat them. that's an expensive feeder. Is there a pleco that wont get too big for the ten gal and wont eat my plants or get eaten?

Help!?!!?

otos would end up as a food. they are smaller than plecos. plecos and bichirs dont get on. if the bichir cant eat it, the plecos tend to suck on a bichirs slime coat. its a smaller tank so it wont take long just to use an algae scraper

an algae scrubber would work, i cant believe i didnt think of that i have one like 3 feet away. thanks.
