Algae in filter

So I have a small algae issue, but I can just clean the glass, no prob. Hers my question...how do I get rid of the algae in the filter inlet and outlet. See pic to know what I mean.

So its inside? Take some gravel throw it in the pipe with a little hot water and shake for a minute! Spotless

I have no idea why you'd want to get rid of beneficial bacteria and biological filtration, but pulling it off and soaking in bleach water for a few minutes followed by a good rinse when you do water changes would probably take care of it.
 
Not trying to wipe out bb, just brown algae...
