Yeah... but if it is an algae, try to buy some Algae-eating fish... Like plecos, loaches and sharks(Rainbow or red-tail black shark)

None of those are both true algae eaters, and plant safe.

If you're looking for the master plant safe algae eater: Oto catfish or mollies. The former is better than the latter and the latter will eat what the former won't.

From the pictures that doesn't really look like algae, that looks like fungus. Can you take one without the flash?
how can i get fungus.this has happened in just days. my light stopped working 2 nights back and i havnt been able to get a new one. it has happened after that.there was CO2 in the tank which i removed today.could that be the reason

Without a clear picture I have no idea what's wrong.

So you're light died, that shouldn't cause algae in days, however, fungus breeds in darkness in the aquatic environment and can breakout all over your tank in as little as 30 minutes. Without a clearer picture or description I can't really help.

First thing is first, put your CO2 back on or you're inviting BBA and Staghorn, as well as a large pH swing.

While we wait for the pictures:

What color is the "algae"?
Does it look like strands of thread or tufts of hair?
Is it free floating in the tank or clung to the plants only?

ok all the algae or fungus is gone now.as quickly it came it has gone quickly as well, i am confused though. i had this old lamp so i put that for the light and changed the water.also the CO2 had been removed and i dint read your post.sorry for that.i will be adding CO2 now. it looked like tufts of hair and it was only on the plants.it was not free floating.

Green, black, red, or grey?

Green: perfectly healthy algae, get an oto cat or 5

Black: the dreaded BBA, check your CO2 and up your circulation in the dead spots where this algae will grow

Red: your fish couldn't be alive as this is a marine flagellite outbreak, not possible in a FW tank.

Grey: fungus or dead green beard algae, the lack of light may have killed it off, manually remove with a toothbrush to prevent further algae outbreaks, or introduce a few snails.

Most likely it was fungus or Green beard algae. Fungus is bad, do a water change and vac it out. Green Beard Algae is expected in well maintained planted tanks. If you really don't want it, add more plants to out compete it and check your current plants for leeching.

And all algae can break out as fast as 30 minutes, and infest a tank as fast as 4 hours, maybe faster.

Keep in mind cyanobacter is not algae.

I have a tank that I am cycling so I have been dosing it with bacteria additives for just over a week. I have similar looking stuff that has shown up all over my tank. I was assuming it was either a fungus, or the bacteria actually clumping on stuff. It has no real color. just a cloudy-clear film
