I just received my pond plants for the year yesterday. It was so exciting opening the box and separating all the plants. They sent out some really healthy ones this year. I'm very pleased.
I was also excited to find a baby trapdoor snail and a couple other types of small snails. Bonuses!

You could see just a few strands of hair algae that had turned brown. My guess is they treated it before shipping. So I picked off any little bits I found. No big deal.
My question is about what I found on the biggest vallisneria plant. I got all excited thinking they were eggs of some sort. Really hopping for more snails.

Well... now I'm not so sure. They are green. Look like jelly and are pretty solid yet slightly squishy. If that makes sense.
I took some pictures so maybe someone can tell me what it is?

Looks like slime to me. With eggs, even if freshly laid, you'd see nucleated spots inside the substance!?

Yeah I figured after looking closer they aren't eggs. lol disappointing.
What ever it was my plecos loved it.
