Algae prevention in stock tank

Setting up a 300 gallon stock tank outdoors to house some predatory turtles. My other 300 gallon stock tanks I keep turtles and koi. The koi keep the the algae in check but won’t be able to keep koi in new tank because they would end up getting eaten. What can I use to keep the algae away and be animal / turtle / fish safe?

I was thinking maybe water lily's in specific areas of the stock tanks so you can still view the turtles.

Was going to say depending on if it's ok in your state water lettuce might work but think that may fall under the above.

Turtles will eat all plants including mildly toxic. Very toxic bitter plants might work but that could be risky and I've never tried.

You could screen off a third of the tank to keep plants safe, or run the turtle water through your koi tank (or plant filter or daphnia tank), or put up a roof to keep sun out.

Okay, so it seems that sun blockage is really the only remedy ??‍

All of the suggestions I mentioned will work. Alternatively an over powered UV will remove green water (but not surface sheet or hair algae)

Your stock tanks are light blue (not green or black) so sun would transfer through the walls too.

There is nothing wrong with green water mind you. It produces good water quality and gives some protection to smaller fish from turtles and birds.
