One of my tanks has an algae that seems very hard to scrub off that i just noticed today while doing a water change. The algae is like a bright green algae that is between the sand and the glass. Wondering if this is something I should worry about or just scrap away like I did and hope it doesn't come back

It's just that the color of it is bright green like really bright. and its between the sand and the glass not in direct light. thought algae needs a decent lightsource??
prob just got well it's prob getting light source from outside the tank instead of above, if you can see the surface algae will grow on it! no it's harmless, just get yourself a nice pot scrubber or algae magnet works wonders! if you are feeling daring use a raze blade, only if your tank is glass that is! and watch out for curious fish don't wanna slice one accidentally while cleaning lol!
algae is always going to be on a tank. just scrub it off and dont worry about it. Algae actually needs very little light and is why its so competetive to other plants. If your really worried about it you could cut back on your photoperiod, but it wont harm your tank at all.
