ok i always like to bio filter tanks and go as natural as possible i got a 150 breeder (same foot print as a 220) and the bio filter is almost set but im having one problem with mat algae the stock of the tank is a 17" jar an 15" burcher and a 10" indo dat. as you can tell we are talking mando aggression as for decor i have a large java furn a bunch of drift wood and rock work with a 2" rock base. water movement is a aqua clear filter filled with bio sponge and rock and a corelea 4. the only cem filter on this tank is a hot magnum with carbon . ok know that the set up is described off to the problem i had a sailfin pleco in the tank that lasted all of a week before it had the crap beat out of it. i would like to know if i put a common pleco in there would thay kill it and if not would it take care of the algae build up on the java furn without killing my furn or am i going to be stuck sucking this stuff off the rocks and rubbing it off the leaves of my furn
