I am process of setting up my new mini monster tank.

In sump am having filter socks, 15I K1 micro and a fluidised sand reactor.

I want an algae scrubber also in sump to reduce nitrates and algae in display. Seen Uaru joeys design and want to do something similar but rapid leds aren't available in uk at reasonable price.

What do you think to using this to power it? Looks ideal really and wouldn't need much work to make work?

The only specs on there are that is 9 watts, it doesn't say the wavelengths of the leds but as is red mainly then must be 650nm range which is ideal?!

Yeah think I might, and is so cheap doesn't really matter if doesnt work I guess!!!

Thanks guys

Yeah I've decided to go more king of diy style and I've order 6x 3w leds 4 red 2 blue so will have total of 18watts.

Will do!

I've just got my new mini monster tank with a 4 x 2.5 footprint (biggest I could get in space available) and the steel stand is being delivered on Friday so shortly after that will have a build thread going up too!!

I've attached the stand, tank and sump, can see in su p fluidised bed of micro k1 in middle and those black trays in front part are for algae scrubber and where it'll be! :)
