The guys I was buying bulk algae wafers from don't sell them any more. I have had terrible luck with hikari. What brands are you guys using? I've been looking at a lot of different kens fish foods. Any luck with them. Its mainly panaque species I keep...

I've used many of kensfish foods with no problems. Flakes, pellets, wafers.

What I notice about kens sinking sticks is that it breaks up quicker and makes more of a mess. This only applies to the stick for i do not have any experience with kens other foods. That's just from my experience. Although kens prices for his food is great, maybe part of a reason why so many people use it. I currently use NLS Thera A, Hikari sinking excel, Hikari Wafers, Hikari sinking gold.

Depends on the fish, but I like the NLS wafers. They have a vegetable base, but are not completely vegetarian. They work well for the omnivores that I keep.

I use Omega One wafers on my pleco (Rhino, L114). My other fish like them too, so I consider that a good sign in regard acceptance.

My plecs love the NLS Mega Fish sinking pellets, and everything from Panaque to Scobinancistrus is doing really well on them. Also the other NLS "green" sinking pellets (can't remember the name of them).
